​Job Overview And Responsibility

The role :

  • We are looking for an assistant manager to help with the daily operations of Meander Saigon Hostel.
  • You’ll manage a team of up to 12 staff on any one shift , and support them in running the daily operation through excellent customer care and leadership.
  • You will verify employee schedules and ensure new hires understand their roles and duties.

Responsibilities :

  • ­Hiring and training new staff members, ensuring they adhere to the hostel policies and have thorough product knowledge and system.
  • ­Coaching staff to ensure they achieve their target and provide customers with a positive and great attitude experience.
  • Overseeing staff rote planning to ensure appropriate levels of coverage.
  • ­Monitoring Housekeeping inventory and ensuring the store is well stocked at all times.
  • ­Training the Staff how to handling the most challenging customer complaints and resolving issues.
  • Assisting with financial and administrative procedures including banking, security of cash and stock counts.
  • ­Devising promotions and marketing campaigns to improve customer attractions.
  • ­Supporting the store manager in delivering store Goal and increasing overall profitability.
  • Cover for the store manager during absence and vacation.
  • ­Report solution for all issue from Housekeeping, Maintenance and Operation to the manager.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 2 years working in Leadership, and customer experience in accommodation industry.
  • ­Previous experience in a leadership role within a customer service environment.
  • ­Life experience with selected information from different industries.
  • ­Strong sales and customer service skills.
  • ­Experience managing groups of staff in achieving personal and team targets.
  • ­Experience with recruiting staff and performance evaluation processes.
  • ­Knowledge of inventory management.
  • ­Good command in English.

*Commitment:

  • ​​​​​​​Working shifts spread across Monday to Sunday, with some evening shifts. 6 days off/ per month.

  • Probation: 2 months ­ 90% basic salary
  • Team dinner: 300,000/ per person for the whole team every quarter
  • Working exchange: Experience over 1 year. Last Appraisal SP or higher. Outbound or Inbound base on the business situation.
  • Charity day: By Quarter, separate into 2 team
  • Year­end bonus: Base on Appraisal rating
  • Company trip: Experience over 1 year. Outbound or Inbound base on the business situation
  • Travel sponsor: Trip allowance to stay in another hostel. 750,000 VND/ time. 2 times in a year.
